Melissa Galbraith

Melissa Galbraith is the fiber artist behind MCreativeJ. Her mother instilled a love of making things by hand at an early age. Melissa shares her love of nature through whimsical and modern hand embroidery kits, hands-on workshops, and her books: How to Embroider Texture and Pattern (2023), DIY Embroidered Shoes (2024), 3D Botanical Embroidery & Stumpwork (2025). Melissa loves creating textural stitching that adds depth and dimension to any design. She combines a wide variety of stitch techniques from surface embroidery to stumpwork to needlelace to Brazilian embroidery to beadwork and more. She’s continuing to explore the needle arts and is excited to see where they take her next.
